Taxis in Amsterdam are available but expensive and have a meter. All legal taxis have blue number-plates. Taxi stands are available at most tourist hubs including Leidseplein, Dam Square and Central Station. Call a taxi on 0900 .677 7777. In the city centre are bicycle taxis which are cheaper than normal taxis.
