Dutch and cycling are synonymous and this applies in Amsterdam. Cycling is a great way to se the city and is also good for getting from A to B. Most locals own bikes and they do use them, so beware of the cycling congestion on the streets.

There are many bike rental agencies in the city. Always remember to lock up your bike and watch for some drivers as a lot are not always patient with the cyclists.
